From 2026, every VARSA order funds the planting of one tree through our partnership with Earthly, helping support high-quality, nature-based projects that restore ecosystems and biodiversity
Earthly uses a rigorous 106-data-point assessment to identify projects that remove carbon while also benefiting local communities and wildlife, ensuring impact is measurable and credible
Our tree-planting activity is fully transparent - you can track the total number of trees planted in real time via our live Earthly impact dashboard at the bottom of this page
This image shows mangrove planting in Madagascar - one of the projects VARSA primarily supports through Earthly. This project forms part of a wider programme that has planted over 300 million trees and created more than 3 million workdays since 2007.
